Sony Ericsson will finally launch globally their long awaited Android smartphone called Xperia X10. We shot a product demo at CTIA Wireless to show off the user interface and hardware form factor. The Xperia X10 is still to be determined regarding carriers in the U.S., however it is a GSM phone so AT&T and T-Mobile could get it. It boasts a 1Ghz Snapdragon fast processor, 4 inch touch screen, unfortunately it will not have the latest Android 2.1 operating system on it. It ships with a custom Timescapeui built on Android 1.6 with plans to upgrade. The price is not yet disclosed but will be priced in the higher end smartphone bracket.
